Online Radio & Internet TV Studio Setup – Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur

Client: Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR)

Complete studio setup for online radio and internet TV broadcasting for the Media & Communication Department of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur.

Project Overview

MIS Solution designed and implemented a complete online radio and internet television broadcasting studio for Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR). Established in 2008, BRUR is the only public university in Rangpur Division and serves as a major higher-education hub for northern Bangladesh. The university has actively worked to build its campus broadcasting capability — in 2019 it ran a dedicated training programme with the Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) to launch a campus radio service. MIS Solution's studio build-out for the department gave that initiative a fully equipped, dedicated production space for both audio and video broadcasting.

Scope of Work

  • Studio design and layout for combined radio and internet TV production
  • Supply and installation of broadcast-grade audio and video equipment (microphones, mixing console, cameras, lighting, and monitoring)
  • Acoustic treatment and studio setup for a distraction-free recording and streaming environment
  • Configuration of streaming/encoding equipment for internet radio and internet TV output

Key Deliverables

  • Delivered a single studio space capable of producing both live/recorded radio content and internet TV broadcasts
  • Set up the equipment and workflow for the department's students and faculty to record, mix, and stream programming
  • Commissioned and tested the full setup ahead of handover to the department

Project Impact

The studio gives the Media & Communication Department a dedicated, professional space to produce campus radio and internet TV content — supporting hands-on broadcast training for students alongside the university's wider push into campus media.
